IHI Infrastructure Asia Co., Ltd. wins the bid for the construction of Nguyen Trai Bridge, Hai Phong

The Hai Phong Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board has just announced the results of the contractor selection for Package No. 14 Construction of the main cable-stayed bridge under Component Project 1 Construction of Nguyen Trai Bridge (total investment of VND 4,416.24 billion).The winning contractor is the joint venture of Trung Chinh Trading and Construction Company Limited - IHI Infrastructure Asia Company Limited (IIA) - Khang Nguyen Infrastructure Construction Investment Joint Stock Company - Trung Nam Construction and Installation Joint Stock Company; The winning bid price is VND 2,449.504 billion (estimated price is VND 2,467.714 billion); contract implementation period is 1,080 days; contract type is adjustable unit price contract.

Nguyen Trai Bridge crosses Gam River, Hai Phong City. The bridge is about 1,476m long; the main bridge is a 550m long cable-stayed bridge; the main bridge is 26.5m wide, the approach bridge is 23.5m wide, including 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 sidewalks; 2 towers 111m high form 2 sails reaching out to sea, expressing the aspiration of Hai Phong city to "reach out to the ocean". The bridge is expected to be completed and put into use in 2027.

Hai Phong City People's Committee believes that when the project is completed and put into use, it will help the port city have an axis connecting the existing urban area with the new urban area north of the Cam River and the VSIP, Tam Hung - Ngu Lao, and Thuy Nguyen industrial parks. The project also contributes to connecting Cat Bi International Airport with the northern development pole of the city in the North Cam River area, meeting the production and business development needs of enterprises, creating conditions for attracting FDI. At the same time, it promotes socio-economic development not only of Thuy Nguyen city particularly, Hai Phong city in general, but also contributes to the socio-economic development of neighboring provinces.
