IIA at JCCI Ekiden 2024: Where every stride bridges Vietnamese–Japanese culture

JCCI Ekiden is a traditional Japanese - style replay race, organized annually by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) in Vietnam since 2022. The event serves as a bridge connecting the past, present, and future and represents a cultural and sporting exchange between Vietnam and Japan. In 2024, JCCI Ekiden, under the theme “Historic Imprint”, commemorates the establishment of trade relations between Vietnam and Japan, which offically began in 1591.

This year, the event is held at The Graden Bistro in the Ecopark ubran area on 24 November, featuring 184 teams from Japanese companies operating in Vietnam as well as other Vietnam enterprises. At this event, IHI Infrastructure Asia Ltd., participated with two teams: “IIA 1” and “IIA 2”. This marks the second consecutive year that IIA has taken part in the event. At this year's competition, the company's two teams achieved rankings of 53rd out of 184 and 68th out of 184. These results are an improvement over last year's performance.
