IIA Company attends the scientific seminar "High-speed railway: Prospects and Challenges"

On the morning of May 20, 2025, Mr. Masataka Yamamoto - General Director of IHI Infrastructure Asia attended and presented at the scientific seminar "High-speed Railway: Prospects and Challenges" organized by the Faculty of Bridges and Roads - Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. The event attracted the attention of many experts, engineers, lecturers and students in the field of transport infrastructure.

At the seminar, Mr. Yamamoto shared a presentation on the topic: “Insights and technology transfer of steel bridge fabrication towards Vietnam’s HSR”. The content of the presentation focused on technologies in the fabrication and erection of steel bridges. Mr. Yamamoto introduced IIA’s capabilities and experience in accompanying Vietnamese partners to develop bridge systems for future high-speed railways.

In addition to the IIA presentation, the seminar also featured many other prestigious speakers such as: Mr. Aoki Keiichi, Chief Engineer of Chodai Co., Ltd. (Japan) shared basic knowledge on high-speed railway and infrastructure planning; Mr. Koji Takeya (Technical Director of SE Corporation) addressed  solutions to stabilize slopes and pile foundations; Mr. Toshio Takebayashi (President of Nippon Sokei Company) discussed  advanced pile driving technology; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Huy Dong (Lecturer of the Faculty of Bridges and Roads, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering) addressed foundation solutions for railway lines on weak ground. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tong Tran Tung (member of Advisory Team of the Minister of Construction) presented to the unification of state management of technical laws in the process of investing in and constructing railway projects.

The seminar took place in a lively atmosphere, providing valuable information for training and developing a team of high-quality engineers for Vietnam's high-speed railway projects.The event is not only a professional forum but also an opportunity for IIA to reaffirm its role as a reputable partner in the field of bridge manufacturing and construction. Looking ahead, the company hopes to continue participating in the high-speed railway project in particular and transport infrastructure projects in general in Vietnam to contribute to building a safe, modern and sustainable Vietnam in the future.
